Hi, everyone! I just came here to say that Connections 2.0 will take a little longer than I antecipated. The reason is personal, I’m having to put many things aside at the moment until life gets back to its course – in fact it’s not even that, it’ll have an unexpected change in course that I’ll need to adapt to. So I hope you can all understand, I will work on Connections v2.0 as soon as I can, but it’ll take a little longer.

Patricia, I totally understand. I have had to do this a bit lately. It sometimes disappoints people, but you got to do what you got to do. Best wishes and we look forward to seeing Connections 2.0 when you are able to release it! (p.s. – I would love to see a blue colour scheme if you are looking at varied colors!)

Hi Patricia. I just wanted to say I’m using Connections 1.0 on my blog and I love it. Quite simple and elegant and uncluttered. I’ve recolored it for my personal taste and I removed most of the links on the top nav bar – I found them to be a bit redundant for my needs since I have everything in the sidebar. But thanks for all your hard work on this stuff, thanks for the great layouts!

I haven’t visited this blog for a while, so I don’t know what happened in the meantime.
Three months ago I started my blog, using your theme as the basis for the design I’ve made of it.
The theme, however had a bug. Most values are given in em sizes. This causes VERY large and VERY small fonts when you change the font size. I corrected most of them (to px values), so feel free to take a look at my adapted CSS to check and copy the changed values.
There’s also a little bug that’s not really visible in this light-green colour scheme, but it does show up when you use darker colours. It’s a one pixel row right below sidenav_top. I also corrected that somewhere in the CSS.
Hope you can do something with my info.
BTW: I like this new preview function!
Cheers,
Joop!

I do love this theme, the only problem is that if you look at it through Internet Explorer some of the posts are out of shape especially the pics. Please try to rectify this. “Waiting in aticipation”

I really love the Connections theme, but being a fairly new user, I’ve struggled trying to add a nice archive page to connections. Eventually I gave up and returned to the default. I’d really like to see an upgrade when you have the time that would add an archive page like the one in the default.
Thanks,
don

Hi Patricia. Sorry to hear about all the personal stuff and changes. I’ve been using Connections 1.0 since I started my blog and I never got around to thanking you for this great theme. I’ve done a few mods here and there, just to shake things up a bit. Broke it a few times and fixed it again. Hope things are okay and you and your family are enjoying the holidays. Oh by the way… I just upgraded to Wordpress 2.0 today and as far as I can tell, Connections still works just fine. Thanks for the hard work.

Will there need to be any changes made to the Connections theme for it to work properly with WordPress 2.0?

Sounds like something tough is going on for you, and I hope that you’re doing well and getting through it OK. Thank you for your beautiful sense of style! I’m using Connections with minor modifications for my garden blog. Very, very nice! Great work!

hi – this looks like a really good blog
January 30th, 2006 at 3:07 am
I like your design, but I wish pages wouldn’t appear all in the first page. As a matter of fact, I would like to put the links to pages myself. I also would like the pages to appear in a different place on the blog, this is, not in the right colum, but on top, for example. Also, the about page appears on top and on the list of pages, that is, it appears twice. I would also like the title to be more visible, either larger or with more contrast. It is hard to work on a template you can’t modify at all. Hope you get that new version soon.

Hi Patricia.
Wishing you all the best in your personal life. Connections 1.0 is imo the best theme available for WordPress users w/out their own server (like me). Some other themes are also very good, but yours stands out as being flawless.
Looking forward to version 2 and I hope WP.com picks it up very quickly !!

Hi. Great work on Connections 1.0, after trawling the net for some time it was the best looking theme I could find for Wordpress!
For my site I modified it a little, added a left column and made it a bit narrower. I’ve not updated the header yet, I’ll get to that eventually.

Hey Patricia,
Well, I hope your doing well!
Take Care,
Will
PS: Anyone add this theme to their Invision Power Board, just wondering cause I’m looking to one of these days?
March 10th, 2006 at 5:38 am
I use this theme ported by Tom Frihost to textpattern.
I modified most of it except the layout and the color, which I guess is not really much at all.
Just a bit lighter.
